Champions League roundup: Club Brugge stunned Porto with a Four goal Thriller

Club Brugge stunned Porto with a Four-goal Thriller making it two consecutive Champions League wins to top  Group B.

An early penalty which was a slot in by Ferran Jutgla was followed by two fast goals from Kamal Sowah and Associate Andreas Skov Olsen after the first-half before a late effort from teenaged substitute Antonio Nusa place the seal on a vast upset, with giving it amazing odds for the fans.

The 17 times Belgian champions had been worthy winners as they introduced a sudden triumph to last week’s Uefa Champions league match over Bayer Leverkusen.

Club Brugge are top of the table with six points and Porto are bottom of the table with no points.

Brugge, who ended up having the lowest point and finished bottom of the group last season, were in front just 15 minutes following a foul from João Mario on Jutgla inside the box the fresh signing picked himself up at the Estadio Dragao to convert the spot-kick.

Porto looked reeling after last week’s last-minute defeat to Atlético Madrid and their only real chance of the first half fell to winger Pepe, but the attempt was held back by Simon Mignolet.

Just two minutes into the second half Jugtla on the edge of Porto’s penalty area strive to dribble past the Dragões defence as the ball got away from him it fell unexpectedly for 22 years old Kamal Sowah to navigate his way through and score from close range.

Porto’s defence was dozed off by the swift thinking of the Ghanaian but was immobile when Bruges led 3-0  in the 52nd minute. Bjorn Meijer delivered a low cross from the left, which went right into the opposition goal. Skov Olsen, unmarked slot it past Diogo Costa and scored the goal, which was already predicted by casino en ligne France.

Rafael Onyedika’s shot bounced off the post in the 86th minute, but Brugge scored the fourth goal as 17 years old Nusa ran clear of the defence with a composed finish that belied his 17 years.

Atlético Madrid were the late show recipients this time in Group B at Leverkusen. The Spanish team beat Porto last week with his two goals in stoppage time, but goals from Roberto Andric and Moussa Diaby in the last six minutes saw Leverkusen win 2-0 in Germany.

Edin Dzeko spurred the Internazionale with a 2-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen. With Romelu Lukaku out with a hamstring injury, Dzeko opened the scoring in the 20th minute and  Denzel Dumfries scored in the 70th minute.

Plzeň, at the bottom of the table, had already shrunk to 10 men at this moment after Pavel Bucha was shown a red card by Referee Sandro Schãrer in the 60th minute of the match.

Frankfurt joined Tottenham hotspurs on three points after a first-half goal by Lindstrom in Group D leaving Marseille as the better team. Despite Jesper Lindström’s break two minutes before half-time and the substitutions of Mateo Guendouzi and Sengis Ander, the hosts were on their second consecutive defeat in the competition.
