A new, high adventure water park is set to open in North Yorkshire this month, which will offer participants the chance to take part in activities they have probably only seen on television.

North Yorkshire Water Park, which can be found five miles away from Scarborough, is due to open to the public on July 18th – booking is already live now, should you fancy a go. The park consists of an extensive and exciting inflatable water-based obstacle course, similar to that which you may have seen on popular TV activity shows such as Total Wipeout.

Floating Obstacles

The course will feature a large number of floating obstacles, including trampolines, rockers and rollers, climbing walls, slides and even a ‘blast bag’, which enables users to send their fellow obstacle coursers flying through the air with the greatest of ease.

In order to participate in the course, entrants need to be aged over six years old, more than 1.2m tall and be competent swimmers who are able to swim 50m at the very least. This is to ensure their safety.

Other Activities

Facilities at the North Yorkshire Water Park, which is situated in the Dawnay Estate, also include a host of other water-based sports and activities, including kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding and even the chance to swim in open water.

According to The Telegraph, open water swimming is believed to have several health benefits, including boosting mental health and the relief of inflammation. So why not give it a try in a safe environment?

Keen fishermen and women can also make use of the fishing lakes nestling among the extensive grounds, where they can chance their hand at catching a variety of fish.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in a range of team building corporate events at the site. These events, such as those available at https://www.armourgeddon.co.uk/team-building-corporate-events.html, are becoming more and more popular with employers who are looking for new and effective ways of helping their workers bond over special days out – or for use as a reward system.

Organisers at the park are looking forward to its launch with great enthusiasm, and are expecting a large turnout from people interested to see what is on offer at the country’s latest water attraction.
